HIL

Real Time Simulation and Power Converters are converging into the field known as Power Hardware in the Loop (PHIL).

HIL ( Hardware in the Loop)

In some applications, a real world system is simulated on a real-time basis and then emulated: converted in real voltage, current and power. This emulation is performed by a power converter that transforms the reference signal generated by the real time simulator into a voltage or current waveform. Real fault can be injected or switched to stress the DUT or system.

Many models from us have this functionality and some of our instruments includes the power amplifier functionality that can be used in PHIL applications. They can be addressed via interface like MODBUS, LAN/LXI.
